NEW AND RENEWABLE SOURCES OF ENERGY IN INDIA

Energy being essential for almost all activities and fossil fuels depleting fast, it is necessary to generate it from non-conventional sources to meet the everincreasing demand and to replace conventional sources. The present review gives the current ongoing developments in the area of new and renewable energy resources, like solar energy, wind energy, geothermal energy, ocean energy, and biogas in India. An attempt has also been made to assess their potential and to project the future growth pattern through some mathematical models.
