LOCAL MAGNETIC-FIELDS ON FE-57 NUCLEI IN HEXAGONAL BA3CO2FE24O41 (CO(2)Z) FERRITE

摘要
Nuclear magnetic resonance spin-echo technique was used on naturally abundant Fe-57 isotope to determine the thermal behavior of the local magnetic field in Ba3Co2Fe24O41 hexagonal ferrite in the temperature range 4.2-320 K. Comparing to the ten sites known from crystallographic studies, signals from seven interstitial sites were detected. The results show that the local magnetic field in three sublattices decreases much more slowly than the macroscopic magnetization.
