摘要
In this paper it shows results of a classroom experience applying mathematical modeling in teaching basic science in higher education and the Theory of Mathematics in Context [1] as a didactic model of teaching and learning, linking the three agents in the process: student - knowledge - teacher. Furthermore it explains, the methodology developed in the achievement of the Mathematical modeling as a viable teaching resource in teaching - learning of science conceived from the contextual mathematics, where it proposes the teaching mathematics in engineering programs of the Universidad de Cundinamarca based on the triad: actually - modeling - simulation.
