摘要：
From the description of how globalization and its relationship with the emergence with the so called "new world order" has been assumed, this article investigates about the consequences of globalization in the Nation-state and the categories that, as national identity, are closely related to it. Finally, using the Colombian case, I will investigate the strategies implemented by the State in order to adapt and be competent in a globalized and transnational context with the correspondent consequences for the way to identify nationals.
