E-COMMERCE IN HOSPITALITY: A CUT ABOUT ELECTRONIC COMMERCE IN HOSTING MEDIA AT FOZ DO IGUACU

摘要
The rise of the internet in the 60s and above all their popularity in the 90s gave different developments and improvements in information and communication technology (ICT). The e-commerce or eletronic commerce is a demonstration of advancement of ICTs, summed up as any kind of commercial transaction in which both parties interact electronically with a view and its convenience and ease of transaction. The adoption and use of ICTs and e-commerce have become key parts for tourism and the hotel industry, as information plays a vital role, not making it different for the hotel's destination Foz do Iguacu, which may come succeed with the use of this technology. In this context it develops this study is meant to examine the e-commerce tools that target the lodging facilities use. This study is characterized by a survey of exploratory descriptive character by proposing to examine the fate of lodging facilities, with the world of research 176 lodging facilities cataloged in the Municipal Tourist Inventory of 2014, provided by the Department of Tourism of the Municipality, which was obtained a sample of 14 establishments. The poll has a methodological character of a quantitative approach, using data collection one self-administered electronic questionnaire, sent to the sales sectors of each means of accommodation. The results demonstrate the importance of ICTs for individuals and organizations, noting the steady growth of the frequent use of the Internet and sales opportunities through the use of technological tools.
