WOMENS POLITICS - MODERN-AGE BETWEEN MEGATRENDS AND BACKLASHES

First of all: There is no reason for celebrating ''50 years women's politics''. During the first decades of the ''2. Republik'' the state constructed and supported the gender differences of the sexes. The aim was to establish two spheres: the public realm for men, the private realm for women. First assumptions to equality rights and policies did not occur until the 70s. Some approvements could be reached. But since the 80s efforts for equal policy and campaigns for public child care are in conflict with traditional familiy policy like f.e. the caretaker-breadwinner-model.
