摘要
This article proposes an approach to managing business reengineering projects in a diversified business enterprise as a coherent programme. It argues strongly for the use of process architecture models which are tailored for specific enterprises but based on principles of design that are commonplace in engineering. Using the process architecture can help to identify the processes for which there should be process redesign projects. It allows the projects to be scoped properly and their impact on each other and on the enterprise to be better understood. The model also provides a good context in which to design a business federation in which synergy is achieved through sharing processes.
