Analysis of the growth of fatigue cracks in two-component shell structures

摘要
We suggest a numerical method for the analysis of the growth of internal fatigue cracks propagating in a bimetallic shell in the direction perpendicular to the welding surface. The method is based on the numerical integration of the kinetic equation by using approximate dependences of the stress intensity factor along the contour of a plane crack close to a circular crack. As an example, we present the results of numerical analysis of the propagation of asymmetric cracks for various values of the fatigue crack-growth resistance of the metals constituting the shell.
