摘要
The diversity of the stakes involved in landscapes produced by farming under the public gaze, makes a comprehensive set of regulations governing these landscapes impossible. French policy only deals with certain sites and isolated elements of the landscape. Now that the European Community, with its tourists, citizens and policies, has come on to the scene, the situation has changed. There is now a stronger demand for landscape quality and new tools are available for integrating landscape considerations into farming activity.
