SECURITY MEASURES, STANDARDIZATION AND THE LAW

The security and reliability of IT-products primarly seem to belong to the shared responsibility to producers and users only. However, because of the (side)-effects that the implementation or non-implementation of information security functions can have to the whole of our society or to individual members, laywers who give shape to the moral principles and organization of our society in the form of rules and regulations, should join the debate to about the ways information security can be advanced and ultimately achieved. This essay evaluates some solutions provides by the computer scientists from a legal point.
