摘要
Osteoid osteoma is a benign tumor requiring excision because of pain, usually severe and debilitating. A new method of treatment is reported involving interventional radiography under general anesthesia: after the lesion is localized by computed tomography (CT) scanning, it is approached through a very short skin incision and resected with special instruments. Twelve patients have been treated successfully. The technical procedure and indications are discussed.
