摘要：
The boundary element method of analysis is experiencing a resurgence almost a century after the mathematics behind it were first developed. While BEM has been used for decades to analyze complex models in applications such as fracture mechanics, it has largely been ignored commercially. Some software developers have rediscovered BEM and are mounting a challenge to the finite element method.
