摘要
Society moves towards a new perception related to the consumption of natural resources. In this context, the international environmental quality standards were established. They serve as reference for companies seeking to meet this new consumer profile. The environmental impacts caused by a building are numerous. The objective of this paper is to present a proposal for a sustainable building. From the certification Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design - LEED, evaluates the project by identifying the level of certification that it would get through the categories and subcategories of the system, demonstrating the characteristics that are necessary to attribute to the quality of sustainable building. This exploratory research is qualitative per a case study methodology. The project was evaluated by means of system conditions and in accordance with the characteristics that the building had. The point system has scores that range from 39 to 51 points, representing the Gold certification level. The environmental management strategy employed in building design was proposed in order to provide a response to the different spheres of sustainability.
