摘要
Recent water and wastewater projects that have achieved LEED certification indicate broad opportunities for sustainable construction and operation. The geographic dis¬tribution of the water and wastewa¬ter projects indicates that incorpora¬tion of LEED sustainability factors has broad planning and economic applicability relative to the variabil¬ity of potential sites. The building industry’s most widely used rating system for sus¬tainable construction, LEED certifies that the built environment is con¬structed and used in sustainable, cost-effective, and healthy ways.
