摘要
The white dwarf Giclas 29-38 displays mysterious excess infrared emission at wavelengths between 2 and 10-mu-m. We measured the radial velocity of G29-38 15 times during the latter half of 1990 and 5 times during the latter half of 1991. Our data, in combination with those of Graham et al., which were obtained during the latter half of 1989, imply that the radial velocity of G29-38 is probably varying with a period of approximately 11.2 months and total amplitude of approximately 10 km s-1. If confirmed, the variation is likely due to either a high-mass brown dwarf or low-mass white dwarf companion.
