摘要
Aim of the study: Assessment of quality of life of patients with colostomy considering the influence of time passed since the operation. Material and methods: The research group contained 128 persons with colostomy. In the research the method of diagnostic survey and statistic method were used. The quality of life was assessed with the use of The Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy - Colorectal. Results: The time passed from the moment of creating colostomy has not significantly statistically influenced either their general quality of life or such of its aspects as physical condition, family and social life, emotional condition or everyday life. The period of time since the creating of colostomy has substantially statistically influenced their quality of life connected with occurring of complaints characteristic for their disease entity. Conclusions: The level of general quality of life and such of its aspects as physical condition, family and social life, emotional condition, and everyday life have been constant throughout the whole period since creating the colostomy. With time the level of quality of life connected with the complaints characteristic for their disease entity has increased.
