摘要
It reflects on the mathematics formation of undergraduate students of Pedagogy, qualified as teachers for the initial years of Elementary Education, taking as support the results presented in theses and dissertations defended in the period from 2004 to 2014 registered in the Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations - BDTD. We also present a quantitative-qualitative field research that investigated possible relation between the performance of final students of the teaching pedagogy course and the performance of fifth year students when solving mathematical questions related to the content of the initial years of elementary education. For data collection, a mathematics test was applied to fifth grade students (278), and the undergraduate students of Pedagogy (18). Both the bibliographical research and the field reveal that there are gaps in the initial formation of Pedagogues regarding mathematical knowledge.
