摘要
The paper presents design a prototype Planar Inverted-F Antenna (PIFA) designed for partial discharges (PD) monitoring in power transformers using the UHF method. The antenna structure was mechanically adapted for assembly in the dielectric window of the transformer tank, and its frequency response has been optimized for the detection of partial discharges occurring in paper and oil insulation. The laboratory tests carried out showed that the developed antenna has about twice the effectiveness of the PD detection comparing to the standard disk antenna.
