摘要：
The article presents an almost complete survey of literature describing the use of a microwave oven in organic synthesis. The author endeavoured to summarize all the papers published up to the end of 1992. A short discussion concerning the essence of the acceleration of the reaction by microwave radiation is also given and several examples of the utilization of microwave ovens in the synthesis of inorganic and coordination compounds is presented.
