摘要
The grid-technique along with the Wilson-Devinney model is applied to the analysis of light curves of close binaries. The results derived for the contact systems V676 Centauri, FM Velorum, V508 Ophiuchi, and some others are discussed and the following conclusions obtained: a) the photometric determination of the "q" (mass-ratio) parameter is acceptable within a reasonable accuracy range; b) not always is there coincidence between light and velocity curve results; c) in some cases (such as V508 Oph) the q photometric might even correspond to a different configuration (A or W) from that determined by the spectroscopy. Therefore some doubts about the reliability on the "pure" photometric solutions for contact systems are remarked.
