摘要
The history of mindsets is one of the most difficult disciplines for historians to approach. Music, in the case of colonial conflicts, can be a good thermometer to measure the support or rejection of a western society to an overseas conflict. In societies like those of the XIX or XX centuries, where the majority of the popular classes have not left us many testimonies about their opinion and attitude to events like colonial conflicts, music, the more popular music, its acceptance, success, and lyrics, is a relevant document to get to know the opinion of the people about these wars abroad. Wars which they have been dragged into by governments, parliaments and high economic interests.
