摘要：
A method of analysis and modelling of a complex discrete-event process represented by a sufficiently long sequence of events is considered. The corresponding model is based on sample path analysis and some ideas and techniques of structural pattern recognition are utilized. An application of the model for solving a problem of practical interest is mentioned.
