摘要：
The X-ray K-absorption edge of metallic potassium has been calculated by using a band structure method. Also, the partial densities of states are shown. On the basis of a "cluster" calculation, it is proposed that the effect of the core hole may in some cases considerably modify the linear absorption coefficient. © 1990.
