摘要：
A simple, convenient approach to the quantum mechanics of quantum-well devices is presented that allows a measure of the quality of the calculations. The approach is applied to the problems of hydrogenic impurities between two planes and a hydrogenic impurity on the axis of a quantum-well wire and compared with previous work. A previously unnoticed behavior of off-center atoms in quantum wells is displayed.
