摘要
The ballooning equation for drift type modes in tokamaks is shown to be of fourth order when the ion temperature gradient is finite. Fluid-like ion density perturbation is formulated for arbitrary ωDi (the ion magnetic drift frequency) and k∥vTi (the ion transit frequency). It recovers the gyro-kinetic counterpart with satisfactory accuracy. © 1995 American Institute of Physics.
