ECHOGRAPHY AND OVARIAN CYSTS

The semeiology of ovarian cysts is reexamined according to the use of the vaginal probe. Note then that the echography constitutes a reasonable approach to the macroscopy useful to guide the practitioner in the line of condut to be held. The differential diagnosis is discussed, above all when facing a peritoneal pathology. The first studies on the use of color Doppler are reported specially in the approach of a better malignancy specificity reminding the existence of a lot of possibilities of mistakes due to the technics. Concerning a series of 98 cases of echoguided punctures of the ovary, the adventage and the limits of the methods are described.
