摘要
Magnetostratigraphic and geochemical studies (oxygen isotopic ratio) of Upper Cretaceous pelagic sediments from the Hole 762C (ODP Leg 122, N-W Australia) allows us to specify the isotopic characterization of the Campanian-Maastrichtian boundary. Bio, magneto and chemostratigraphic correlations demonstrated two important gaps in the Upper Cretaceous that limit strongly the use of Site 762 as reference of Indian Ocean for this period.
