RESEARCH STUDIES: CONSIDERATIONS ON SOCIOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION

This communication aims to share some pertinent results to the research carried in the scope of the after-graduation, where it searched to analyze the intellectual production in environmental sociology in Latin America, understanding which are the proposals or solutions that this production places for the minimization of social environmental problems. In relation to the results, it is noticed that environmental education, spread out as a promise to the emergency of environmental conscience and possible overcoming of the civilization crisis, a little is distinguished amongst the concerns of sociology (as it can also be seen in Layrargues, 2002).
