摘要
The mechanism of ribbon formation in planar flow melt spinning (PFMS) of amorphous metal ribbons is improved for bilayer ribbons. This model provides tools to predict the thickness of ribbons when the other parameters such as substrate velocity u(w), heat transfer coefficient h, distance between the two nozzles d and physical properties of alloys are changed. The theoretical results for amorphous bilayers of Ni-Si-B and Co-Fe-Cr-Si-B alloys for different u(w) and d have been compared with experimental results. A good agreement between predicted and observed results was found.
