摘要
The CO2 uptake capacity of seawater and the corresponding increase in seawater density are given. A steady-state turbulent plume model is used to study the behaviour of sinking CO2 water on a sloping bottom. A mass transfer model is developed in order to obtain estimates of the dissolution rates of ascending CO2 bubbles in seawater. The plume and mass transfer models are used to examine the possibility of injection of anthropogenic CO2 in the uppermost 200 to 400 metres of the ocean.
