COLLISION CASCADES IN Y-BA-CU-O UNDER IRRADIATION

摘要
Collision cascades produced by low energy irradiation in Y-Ba-Cu-O were investigated by using the molecular dynamics method. Initial energies of the primary knock-on atom were in the range 100-300 eV. The main features of collision cascades were as follows: splitting of the cascade into subcascades separated by Y layers, concentration of the main displacements near Cu(1)-O(4) planes, absence of branching-off of the main chain of the cascade on the secondary branches, destruction of Cu(1)-O(4) chains in basal planes and oxygen redistribution between O(4) and O(5) positions.
