摘要
Biotechnology is a tool used in different fields of knowledge such as health, industry, agriculture and aquatic environments. It's based on genetic engineering for the creation or modification of living organisms, their products or processes. It's cosidered a "superscience" due to its great impact has emerged from academic research, opening the way for the creation of thousands of companies in developed countries over the past two decades. Biotechnological companies have competed and cooperated for years, with chemical and pharmaceutical companies well established. Studies have shown that partnerships and cooperation is the key for the growth and survival of research centers and biotech companies.
