Chromatopolarographic determination of tellurium in waste and potable water

A method for chromatopolarographic determination of tellurium is described. The method is based on the concentration of tellurium in KU-2 x 8 cationite in the H+-form and subsequent determination on a PU-I polarograph against a background of a 1.5 M HCl eluate. The potential of a half-wave is E(1/2) = -0.76 V. The duration of an analysis is 1.5-2 h. The range of determinable concentrations is from 0.0004 to 0.03 mg/liter. The relative standard deviation is not more than 0.05.
