摘要
The Undergraduate Final Year Project (UFYP) constitutes an important requirement and, in most of the courses this is mandatory to get the bachelor or graduate title. In most courses it is produced as a monograph or scientific article, and they are also the usual forms of Biological Sciences course from a Higher Education Institution (HEI), situated at the countryside of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, that was used to develop this research. The aim of this study was to analyze the main UFYP themes used in the Biological Sciences courses, both bachelor's and graduate degree. A quali-quantitative study was carried out. It can be characterized as descriptive, field, longitudinal, and with documental analysis. It was analyzed the course pedagogical projects and also 232 UFYP produced by the students. Further, a questionnaire was applied to 32 students (graduates and senior undergraduates) to check the relevance of the course subjects in the UFYP elaboration. Based on the data analysis, it was possible to notice that the main UFYP chosen theme, from the analyzed courses, was the environmental issue, which is in agreement with the courses proposed pedagogical projects. In addition, it was observed that several courses assist the development of the UFYP, requiring the observation of attending the semi-annual proposal according to the pedagogical project for a better use of them.
