摘要
In this work, an experimental study is carried out to study the pressure drop of a thermodependent Iron newtonian fluid flowing in a circular tube heated with a constant heat flux density. The working fluid used is a 3% by weight aqueous solution of carboxymethylcellulose, a model of many pseudoplastic fluids currently encountered in many process industries. Its rheological behaviour is governed by an Ostwald law tau = K gamma(n) where the consistency K is highly temperature dependent. The results obtained are compared with numerical results and the agreement is shown to be good.
