Effect of Caffeine on the Anodic Dissolution of Copper (100) Plane in Acidic Copper Sulfate Solution

摘要
Anodic dissolution of copper (100) plane in acidic copper sulfate solution is inhibited by the addition of caffeine. Evidence to this effect is offered by the surface coverage data and by the topographical changes brought about by caffeine on the surface. The inhibition is attributed to the adsorption of caffeine on the surface of the crystal plane.
