摘要
This study aimed to identify 21 rice varieties as maintainer and restorer lines for three-line hybrid rice system. Pollen and spikelet fertility of the F1 hybrids derived from the crosses between two A lines (IR80151A and CHIA) and the 21 rice varieties were determined and used as criteria to identify those varieties as maintainer and restorer lines. It was found that nine and three varieties tested were identified to be maintainer and restorer lines for the A line (IR80151A), respectively Whereas only four varieties tested were classified to be maintainer lines for A line (CH1A). The three varieties involving SPR1, JHN and KOH1 were found to be maintainer lines for both A lines (IR80151A and CH1 A). These varieties identified as maintainer and restorer lines will be employed to develop new adapted and promising A, B and R lines for three-line hybrid rice production.
