摘要
The article is devoted to the pre-revolutionary Russian historiography on the issue regarding Kazakh-Dzhungarian relations. The Dzhungarian factor was particularly important event in the history of the Late Middle Ages in Asia, partially in Europe. This is due to the fact that the powerful nomadic state played the particular role in the foreign policy. The relationship of the country with Kazakh people who inherited a vast territory was not uninteresting. The military state of Dzhungaria led the aggressive policy towards Central Asia, especially it was hard for Kazakh zhuzes who experienced numerous invasions by them. From the chronological point of view the post-Soviet historiography on this issue can be divided into three main stages: pre-revolutionary, Soviet and post-Soviet or modern, which in turn is divided by territorial demarcation. Among these the pre-revolutionary Russian historiography stands out for its special features. In view of the above-mentioned in this scientific article the subject of historiographical research is the pre-revolutionary Russian intellectuals' works. In the works of the pre-revolutionary Russian writers a variety of information on the history and international relations of the people of Central Asia are covered, including Kazakh-Dzhungarian relationship. These intellectuals of their age played the role of a pioneer in bringing the facts written on Kazakh-Dzhungarian relations. Consequently, the data presented in the works of the Russian scientists of the pre-revolutionary period are very valuable and important in the historiography of Kazakh-Dzhungarian relations as they are a solid foundation in the study of this issue. In these multiple works the authors introduced into scientific circulation the most significant materials on the problem under consideration and came up with different conceptual and interesting findings.
