Health education in schools : factors influencing French primary school teachers' practices

摘要
Literature emphasizes the importance of health education to improve health resources as well as to aid children's academic progress. This quantitative study furthers qualitative reports and aims at providing knowledge on the process that leads teachers to take into account health education issues into their teaching practices. Multivariate analysis showed those factors significantly linked to health education practices : individual teacher's interest in health education (p < 0,01); having completed a training program in health education (p = 0,02) and integrating work in the field of health education on the basis of a collective reflection at the school level (p = 0,05).
