Environmental education through school garden: a case study between two schools in the city of Rio Grande/RS

摘要
The present case study aims to relate Environmental Education (EA) to the multidisciplinary aspects of natural science contents, based on the theme of "school garden" and its interpretation by students from two schools in the city of Rio Grande / RS, one of them situated in the urban context, and the other in the rural environment. As a methodological procedure, a questionnaire was developed discussing with the schools in meetings previously scheduled and questions pertinent to the proposed questions were clarified serving as a basis for research of this research, carried out with approximately twenty six students between the two schools. In general, the textual manifestations of the students were grouped in different axes themed as follows: Organic Agriculture and Interdisciplinarity. As a result, we can understand that the school garden is a potential "living laboratory" that transcends the domains of the classroom.
