摘要
The complexing abilities of two calix[4]arenes with ligating amide groups in the cone conformation have been determined by extraction and stability constants measurements. The cations studied were the alkalis and alkaline-earths. The results show strong complexation of both series with a preference for Na+ in the former and in the latter for Ca2+ in extraction and Sr2+ in stability constant for one of the amide derivatives. The Ca2+/Mg2+ complexation selectivity (greater-than-or-equal-to 7.8 log units) exhibited by one of the amides ligands is the highest recorded for a neutral ligand receptor.
