The magnetic susceptibility chi and specific heat C(p) were measured for the two-dimensional triangular antiferromagnet LiVO2. The phase transition was observed between T(t)down = 450 K and T(t)up = 485 K in the chi-result. The chi showed a reproducible thermal hysteresis between T(t)down and T(t)up. The entropy change around T(t)up was estimated as about 11 J/K mol from the C(p)-result. By the cation-exchange chromatography, it was indicated that the chemical formula of the measured sample was Li0.84VO2.
