Theology, Philosophy, God and the Between

This essay explores Desmond's understanding and demonstration of the relationship between philosophy and theology. Linkages are drawn between Desmond's approach and the relationship between Christianity and Neo-Platonism. He is characterized as pursuing a philosophical theology, where philosophy and theology relate with one another intimately and the lineaments of this interaction and its benefits are sketched. The author then describes the relationship, for Desmond, between God and the world as well as between God and humans.
