A NOVEL SYNTHESIS OF THIADIAZOLE AND THIADIAZINE DERIVATIVES VIA CHARGE-TRANSFER COMPLEXATION

摘要
S-Methyl dithiocarbazate 2 reacted with 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyano-1,4-benzoquinone (DDQ) via the formation of charge-transfer (CT) complexes to give the thiadiazine derivative 19. The azomethine derivatives 1a-f reacted with both DDQ and 2,3-dicyano-1,4-naphthoquinone (DCNQ) via CT complexation to afford the bisazines 10a-f, the thiadiazole derivatives 11a-f and DDQ-H-2 (12) as well as DCNQ-H-2 (13). The mechanism of the formation of products 10-13 and 19 is discussed.
