摘要：
Acute retropharyngeal abscess is an uncommon process that, when it does occur, is seen more often in children compared to adults. We describe a case of acute retropharyngeal abscess complicated by cervical subluxation and torticollis which is uncommon. We believe traditional X-ray Neck lateral view can still be used to diagnose acute retropharyngeal abscess in this era of CT scan. The patient was treated with Injection Co-amoxiclav and ceftriaxone for 7 days followed by 7 days of oral Co-amoxiclav therapy. (C) 2010 Elsevier Ireland Ltd. All rights reserved.
