摘要
The textile industry plays an important role in creating Taiwan's foreign exchange income. The vast majority of textile enterprises are traditional, labor-intensive small-medium enterprises (SMEs). Over the recent years, with the increasing consciousness of people's environmental protection around the globe and the pressure of competition on the international markets, many textile companies are forced to pay close attention to environmental friendly. In view of this trend, the textile industry hopes the implementation of the green information systems with supply chain focus help them to investigate the extent of business process improvement. We found that the business process is improved with a Web implementation on the ICT platform. A case study is employed in the research and the result shows that the green supply chain creates external effects including the promotion of corporate image, increase of customer value and loyalty, reduction of customer complaints and product conformity to global standards. It also generates internal effects with the increase of sales revenue, procurement efficiency and competitiveness.
