摘要
Ascidiella aspersa (Muller, 1776) species that live in the polluted and clean benthic zone and have included in Ascidiacea classis, were taken as an illustration to determine the effects upper surface of ascidians as a pollution indicator in Izmir Bay's pollution. The pharynx and gill grows called stigmata that are located on pharynx, have compared in clear and polluted zone samples as morphologically. In respect of the adaptations which increase the surface area, have assigned to minimize the pollution effects in pharynx structure of polluted zone samples.
