摘要
The close electric fields due to lightning have been calculated and presented in this paper. Computations have been done for different models of return stroke current, intracloud K-changes and horizontal lightning. The earth has been assumed to be finitely conducting. The finite conductivity of the ground plays an important role in the determination of electric fields. The calculations agree fairly well with the experimental observations and theoretical predictions made by different workers. It has been suggested that in any computation of induced overvoltages in transmission lines, K-changes and horizontal lightning should also be taken into account.
