摘要
Transmission characteristics at infrared light range of a one dimensional superconductor-dielectric photonic crystal have been calculated based on the transfer matrix method. The two fluid model and wavelength dependent dispersion formula were adopted to describe the electromagnetic response of a high temperature superconducting layer. The calculation results clearly reveal that the cutoff frequency can be tuned by the thicknesses of the superconducting and dielectric layers, the ambient temperature of the system, and the incident angle of the rays. It was found that the shift of the cut off frequency f(c) becomes more noticeable by adjusting the thickness of the superconductor layers, than that of the dielectric one. Furthermore, the cutoff frequency becomes very sensitive to the temperature change, especially when the ambient temperature of the photonic crystal (PC) is close to the critical temperature of the superconducting layer. The incident angle studies for TE-waves (S-polprized waves) show that higher incident angle would result in a higher cutoff frequency or a wider photonic band gap.
