摘要
This work aims to explore the empirical relationships between self-esteem and educational attainment in children aged from 3 to 7, paying special attention to age, sex and socioeconomic status. In the study 1.757 school children have participated. Self-esteem has been assessed by means of EDINA Questionnaire with alpha,80. The results showed statistically significant correlations between academic performance and age, sex, socioeconomic status and some other dimensions of self-esteem. We propose two models explaining these variables in order to improve self-esteem from the family and educational sphere.
